Position Title: Assembler Location: Kalamazoo, MI Pay Range: $16/hr Shift: 1st Benefits • Health • Dental • Vision • Life • 401k Job Description • Read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings. (Training will be provided.) • Safely operate forklift and/or other lift equipment • Build fans, motors, burners and gas manifolds. • Cut insulation with water jet machine. • Accurately complete checklist. • Observe all company rules and policies, i.e., safety, attendance. • Participate and work in a team atmosphere, positive attitude. • Maintain high productivity and quality workmanship. • Suggest design and procedure improvements that improve quality, productivity, and reduce cost. • Responsible for keeping work area(s) clean and free of clutter during work time and at the end of shift. Qualifications • Ability to read, write and do simple math. • Good mechanical ability. • Ability to accurately read tape measure. (Training will be provided.) • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings. (Training will be provided.) • Ability to operate cold saws, iron worker, shear cut and bend sheet metal. (Training will be provided.) • Ability to safely and properly use a wide variety of tools, including hand and power tools. • Ability to safely and properly operate a forklift and/or other lift equipment. (Training will be provided) • Ability to follow directions in standard practices and procedures • Construction, assembly and carpentry background is helpful in this position.
