The Associate, Global Category Commercialization is responsible for analyzing, reporting, communicating & helping to build global partnerships in support of Disney Global Publishing’s initiatives to drive growth for select categories and partners. This role will work with teams from across Publishing to enhance global licensing partnerships, analyze data & information, and assemble deliverables from multiple different sources. This person will work directly with the Senior Manager, Global Category Commercialization to communicate global strategies and report on key strategic projects that have a direct revenue impact for Disney Publishing. This person will also work closely with the Data & Insights team in developing, managing and communicating dashboards and insights for Publishing. The ideal candidate is naturally curious about global markets and has an interest in finding ways to grow a business.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Global Category Commercialization.

Responsibilities/You Will:

  • Drive the growth of categories globally by working across regions to pull & analyze data, report on strategies, provide guidance and unblock obstacles as needed

  • Understand global financials, drivers and partnerships in order to identify risks, roadblocks and find opportunities

  • Develop presentations on global category strategy with an understanding of market data, insights from regional leads and strong business acumen

  • Assist in global expansion programs including understanding best practices and driving communication between regional businesses

  • Identify materials, tools needed by regions to grow business and assist key stakeholders in delivery of these tools

  • Build relationships and partner with cross lines of business on projects that drive revenue for The Walt Disney Company, understanding Disney Publishing’s commercial strategies in order to maximize profit

  • Tracking success by measuring & reporting on KPIs of global category plans, evolving plans as needed

  • Assist in key projects globally, including operational projects to improve global efficiencies

  • Align key stakeholders and communicate next steps as needed

  • Create clear, concise materials to communicate strategies to Senior executives in and across the Disney Publishing organization

Basic Qualifications/You Have:

  • 2+ years’ experience in finance, consulting, strategy, or business development, with a strong foundation in cross-functional collaboration

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, combined with advanced analytical abilities and financial modeling expertise; highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint for presenting strategic insights

  • Global mindset with a passion for building relationships across international markets

  • In-depth understanding of the evolving media landscape, including key industry players and emerging trends

  • Sharp financial acumen and the ability to assess financial data from a variety of sources

  • Proactive and adaptable, thriving in fast-paced environments with a solution-oriented approach

  • Meticulous attention to detail in both analysis and visual storytelling, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and polished design

  • Technical fluency in PowerPoint, Keynote, and Excel, used to craft compelling presentations and dashboards

  • Strong project management skills, capable of navigating multiple priorities and delivering results under pressure

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related

Preferred Education:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)

The hiring range for this position in California is $64,300 to $86,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
