Responsibilities: • Represent clients in Charlotte, NC who are facing criminal charges. • Negotiate with prosecutors to secure outcomes that protect clients’ best interests. • Develop tailored defense strategies that reflect each client’s unique circumstances. • Research and analyze applicable laws and statutes to strengthen case positions. • Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements. • Manage a varied caseload with efficiency, ensuring deadlines are met and client communication remains a top priority. • Ability to pivot and land at a moment's notice. Qualifications: • Must have a JD degree and hold an active NC law license in good standing. • Possess 1 to 3 years of experience in criminal defense or a related field. • Strong skills in research, writing, and negotiation are essential. • Ability to collaborate effectively as a team member. • Demonstrate a client-first approach with high emotional intelligence. • Consideration is given to small firm owners looking to focus solely on practicing law. • Must be able to pivot and land at a moment's notice.
