Job Title: Electrical EstimatorJob Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in evaluating project plans, specifications, and bid documents to create accurate and competitive bid proposals. Your expertise in electrical construction will ensure that all aspects of the project are considered, from initial review to final bid submission.
Responsibilities
+ Review and evaluate project plans, specifications, and bid documents to identify necessary information for bid proposals.
+ Calculate the cost of electrical construction based on available documents and site conditions.
+ Consult with clients, vendors, and other department personnel to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
+ Attend job site walk-throughs with other estimators to identify field conditions that may affect construction or bid proposals.
+ Prepare bid documents, including specific scope letters, evaluations for buy-outs, labor rates, productivity, and identify any inconsistencies or conflicts.
+ Provide accurate, detailed, and competitive estimates for various projects.
Essential Skills
+ Completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship Program with field experience or a bachelor's degree in construction management or similar studies.
+ Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience related to commercial, industrial, and service projects.
+ Thorough knowledge of the electrical field with familiarity in materials and construction methods.
+ Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (N.E.C) and local codes.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Outlook, and experience using Accubid and AutoCAD.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Outgoing and personable nature.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ At least two years of estimating experience with an electrical contractor.
+ Proficiency in estimating software such as Accubid, Bluebeam, or Plan Swift.
+ Strong knowledge of electrical systems and construction practices.
+ Experience in bidding, project management, and construction management.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $62.50/hr.
