Job Description

Annual Salary $89,217-$123,565

Key R esponsibilities:
  • Prepare, maintain and update environmental policy and procedure manuals.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations
  • Keep abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
  • Serves as contact with all Federal, State, and Local regulatory bodies.
  • Identifies, assesses, and resolves problems concerning the environment.
  • May design, install, operate, and maintain measuring apparatus to determine level of pollutants involving air, land and water.
  • Performs experiments and reports findings on environmental consequences of equipment, tools, and procedures.
  • Ensures the organization's conformance to federal, state, and local environmental legislation.
  • Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.

Professional Experience:
  • Minimum (3) years in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the wood industry.
  • Minimum (3) years of environmental compliance experience.

Education and Technical Skills Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • CEP certifications preferred.
  • Goals should be communicated in "solution" or project goal terms.
  • May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in specialization.

Environment and Behavioral Profile:
  • Must be able to work autonomously.
  • Must be able to interface with others at all levels, from executive to hourly.
  • Must be available to support 24/7/365 manufacturing operation.

Linguistic Profile:
  • Swiss Krono embraces the diversity of languages, but most, if not all, communication verbally and written is preferred in English to successfully complete the appropriate scope of work.
  • Command of German a plus.

Mobility and Physical Requirement Profile:
  • Role based in the US, Barnwell, SC.
  • This job is in a manufacturing environment.
  • Travel up to 5%. Ability to travel on short notice.
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk; use hands/fingers.
  • This is a full-time position, and general hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This a leadership position which requires extended hours and weekend work, as need.
