Candidates should be adept at preparing necessary legal documents in connection with prenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody, and real estate. Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence is also a must. If you have a proven record of success both in and out of court, apply now! • Competitive Compensation: Up to $220,000/year, with additional monthly performance-based bonuses. • Flexible Work Environment: Primarily remote, with occasional in-person appearances for trials and hearings in Sacramento, Placer, Yolo, El Dorado Counties, as well as across California. • Comprehensive Benefits: Unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO), 401(k) with matching, and medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage. • Professional Development: $1,500 annual stipend toward continuing education and training. Responsibilities: • Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed • Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action • Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases • Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process • Keep client files properly organized and up to date • Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients Qualifications: • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations • Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants • Previous criminal justice or other legal background preferred • Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association) • Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is required • Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required • Minimum of 5+ years of family law litigation experience • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar • Demonstrated expertise in courtroom advocacy, complex legal drafting, and financial analyses (XSpouse/Family Law Software/Propertizer) • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a technology-driven, client-centric team About Company: Why Join Us at the Baron Family Law?
