Job Description

Job purpose

• Layout and install limited underground, interior electrical wiring and lighting system installations for various types of residential, commercial, and light industrial projects.

Duties and responsibilities

• Take direction from project manager
• Procure necessary materials from shop and purchasing agent to complete the project
• Coordinate and communicate with the project manager and project superintendent
• Coordinate inspections and communicate with the electrical inspector when needed
• Have working knowledge of the installation and of the applicable electrical codes

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent education preferred
• Current Electrical journeyman’s license our apprentice card required
• Organizational skills required
• Strong Communication skills needed
• Ability to interact effectively with other field and office personnel
• Basic mathematic skill and comprehension and ability to read project plans, submittals, and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of the NEC and code updates, as well as OSHA and WSHA safety regulations.
• Must have own transportation, valid driver’s license, and pass pre-employment drug test if required.

Working conditions

Normal job hours for this position is 7am-330pm Employee will be required to work indoors and outdoors

Physical requirements

Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly Must be able to operate company vehicle Must be able to load and unload conduit from vehicle or trailer. Employee must be able to effectively use electrical hand tools, power tools, wire pullers, and other tools require for a complete installation. Employee may occasionally be required to operate equipment such as backhoe or trackhoe if qualified and trained for such equipment, as need for projects.
