As a Licensed Barber at Hammer & Nails, you will be responsible for delivering a range of hair and grooming services while ensuring client satisfaction and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You must have strong barbering skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for the beauty industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and styling for clients according to their preferences and industry standards.
- Provide recommendations on hair care and grooming products tailored to individual client needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including sterilization of tools and hygiene practices, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring repeat business through excellent customer service.
- Stay updated on the latest haircutting techniques, styles, and trends in the grooming industry.
- Promote salon services and products to clientele to boost sales and enhance their experience.
- Manage appointments and communicate with clients effectively to address their grooming needs.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid NJ state barbering license or cosmetology license required.
- Proficient in various haircutting techniques, shaving, and beard grooming.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-oriented with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with barbering products and tools, as well as basic inventory management.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
