Job Description

Salary: $70,143 - 115,250 per year Requirements:

• I am looking for candidates who are local to Rolling Meadows, IL, as I am unable to provide relocation or sponsorship.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technology field, or an equivalent level of experience is required.
• I seek individuals with a minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting multi-site enterprise TCP/IP networks, specifically with technologies like MPLS, VPN, firewalls, VOIP, and wireless systems.
• An additional 5 years of experience with Microsoft technologies is essential, including work with Identity & Access Management, Enterprise Directory Services, and Domain Architecture.
• Candidates should be familiar with managing data storage environments such as SANs, including provisioning LUNs and real-time replication.
• A background in managing infrastructure for Microsoft Windows Server and SUSE Linux for at least 5 years is needed.
• Experience in administering and supporting VMware virtualization solutions in an enterprise context is required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS) is also necessary.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities:

• I expect you to drive innovation by evaluating and adopting new and existing technologies, platforms, and services that enhance and advance our corporate infrastructure.
• It is important to ensure reliability by maintaining 24/7/365 uptime through proactive monitoring, quick incident responses, and strategic prioritization of infrastructure operations.
• You will be tasked with maximizing availability by developing and executing strategies for capacity planning, risk mitigation, redundancy, and disaster recovery to ensure we achieve maximum uptime and business continuity.
• You will take charge of timely upgrades and patching across critical infrastructure components, which include firewalls, networking equipment, servers, storage systems, and VMware environments.
• Supporting secure, high-speed networking systems (LAN/WAN, MPLS, VPNs, firewalls, routers/switches) will be part of your role.

Our base salary for this position ranges from $70,143 to $115,250, with the potential for an annual bonus. Final salary will depend on qualifications, years of experience, specific skills, and market demand.
