The practice is based in Bakersfield, CA at the southern end of the San Joaquin Valley in Kern County. This well-established practice has been providing nephrology services to the community for over 40 years. They are a four doctor practice supported by a full time Nurse Practitioner and professional medical staff. The office uses electronic medical records as do all of the DaVita units and it is located across the street from their primary dialysis center. The group has earned a reputation for delivering an uncompromised level of compassionate medical care; and they treat patients at five DaVita dialysis facilities and one FMC center.

The group seeks to hire an associate to meet the growing medical needs of the Bakersfield community and a senior physician looking to scale back his practice. Given the close proximity to Los Angeles, the Bakersfield population continues to grow due to the migration of Californians looking for a lower cost of living and less hectic lifestyle. The group covers 6 hospitals and call is 1:4 on weekends, as the senior physician will scale back.

The practice is offering a two year salary guarantee with an increase in year two. They have excellent benefits, including a car allowance, 401k, medical and dental benefits, and malpractice. Additionally, they offer a partnership track of two years and have a low buy-in.

Candidates must be BC in IM and either BC or BE in Nephrology. Proficiency in all aspects of clinical nephrology, strong work ethic, good communication skills, and a team oriented attitude are highly desired. We seek candidates who are honest, outgoing, flexible, and dedicated to building a long term career with this highly respected practice.
