Summary

We are seeking a caring and reliable Preschool Teaching Assistant to support our early childhood classrooms. This position primarily assists with teacher breaks and provides classroom coverage in the afternoon to help maintain a positive, nurturing learning environment for young children.

Duties

Support lead teachers by providing break coverage
Step into classrooms during afternoon hours to supervise and engage children
Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and routines
Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment
Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
Follow center policies, daily schedules, and licensing regulations
Participate in daily prep, end-of-day organization, and light cleaning tasks

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Ability to supervise and engage children ages 1–5 in a group setting
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow direction
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to stand, sit on the floor, and lift up to 30 lbs as needed

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in childcare or early childhood education
CPR/First Aid certification
Familiarity with play-based learning
