Our client, an industry leader in transportation and maintenance services, is seeking a Repair Technician to join their team. As a Repair Technician, you will be part of the overhaul and maintenance department supporting train and rail vehicle repairs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety and quality, which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Repair Technician **Location:** New Castle, DE **Pay Range:** $22.50 **Shift:** 7 am - 3:30 pm **What's the Job?** + Overhaul maintenance of train and rail vehicle components by removing, inspecting, replacing, and fitting parts according to work instructions + Perform cleaning and pre-cleaning of components using machinery like pressure washers and operating overhead cranes for material handling + Document work activities accurately, including diagnostics and fault-finding using a laptop or other digital tools + Ensure all work complies with safety standards, and maintain workshop cleanliness and PPE protocols + Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance repair costs, efficiency, and quality standards **What's Needed?** + High School Diploma or GED required + At least 2 years of experience in a mechanical environment preferred + Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and use basic shop and power tools + Physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, walk, and operate tools safely + Strong documentation skills, basic computer knowledge, and forklift operation experience preferred **What's in it for me?** + Opportunity to work in a dynamic, safety-focused environment + Work with advanced mechanical and electronic equipment in a high-voltage test environment + Gain valuable experience in train component overhaul and maintenance + Supportive team environment committed to continuous improvement and safety excellence **Upon completion of waiting period associates are eligible for:** + Medical and Prescription Drug Plans + Dental Plan + Supplemental Life Insurance + Short Term Disability Insurance + 401(k) If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
