As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at New Story Schools, you will support student health and wellness by providing compassionate, high-quality care throughout the school day. You’ll assist with medication administration, first aid, and health monitoring under the direction of a Certified School Nurse or physician. Your calm, caring presence will help ensure students can focus on learning in a safe, supportive environment.
What You’ll Need
Current Pennsylvania Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
Experience providing nursing care to children or adolescents
Knowledge of common medical conditions, medication administration, and infection control procedures
Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Ability to remain calm and effective during medical or behavioral emergencies
What You’ll Do
Provide basic nursing care, first aid, and health support to students during the school day
Administer medications and document care according to physician orders and school policies
Monitor students with chronic conditions and report changes in health status to the Certified School Nurse
Support staff with student health needs and communicate effectively with families when appropriate
Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant health office environment
