Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Volunteer Senior Grant Writer to join our team. This role involves researching, drafting, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for our organization's programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of the grant-making process. The Senior Grant Writer reports to the Director of Grant Writing and Foundation Relations.
Conditions - Location: Remote
- Commitment: Part-time (volunteer, pro bono role)
- Contribution Requirements: Minimum 10-15 hours a week; minimum 3 months
Key Responsibilities - Research and identify potential funding sources, including government agencies, foundations, and corporations.
- Draft, review, and submit compelling grant proposals that align with our organization's mission and goals.
- Maintain a comprehensive calendar of grant deadlines and ensure timely submission of all proposals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with grantors, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the grant process.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and data to support grant applications.
- Track and report on the status of submitted proposals, including follow-up and reporting requirements.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in grant writing, with a proven track record of securing funding.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong research and analytical abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Knowledge of grant research databases and resources.
