Job Description

Indienne, recently awarded a Michelin Star for a third straight year, is looking for an experienced, hospitality focused Sommelier to join the team.

Please note, we are only considering candidates with full and open availability.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fine dining or Michelin rated restaurant

• Strong foundational wine knowledge; certifications (CMS, WSET, etc.) a plus

• Passion for wine service, guest education, and thoughtful pairings

• Working knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and beer

• Leadership mindset with the ability to support and help guide front-of-house staff

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Calm, professional demeanor 

• Team-oriented, respectful, and ego-free approach

• Knowledge of sanitation and health department standards

• Current Food Handler, Bassett and Allergen certifications

Responsibilities

• Support execution and maintenance of Indienne's wine program

• Provide polished wine service and guest-focused recommendations

• Assist with wine ordering, inventory, and organization

• Assist with opening and closing beverage team duties

• Help train and mentor front-of-house staff

• Step into other service roles as needed to support the team

Physical Demands and Work Environment 

• Be able to stand for extended periods of time [over 5 hours]
• Be able to lift and carry 50 pounds steadily 
• Be comfortable with repetitive movements like bending, sitting, and walking extended distances
