Job Description
We are currently working on a
Staff Accountant position in Dallas, Texas. This rule has a variety of duties, including maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, and supporting month-end close activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Staff Accountant Responsibilities: - Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Support the month-end and year-end close process
- Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts
- Assist with audits and regulatory filings as needed
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues
- Perform special projects and ad-hoc analyses as requested by management
Staff Accountant Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance, or related field
- 1+ years of experience in accounting or related field (internship experience may be considered)
- Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
