Tour Information

Read this to prepare for your tour in the best way!

Please note:

Airline:
On group tours, we generally fly with airlines that are group-friendly. Group tours are based on economy class, if you wish to travel by Premium Economy / Business Class / First Class, we can arrange the same at an additional cost subject to availability. During your air travel, refreshments and meals are provided as per the airline policy. However, we recommend you to carry dry snacks of your choice for the flight journey.

Transport: For transfers and sightseeing we use small cars / Tempo Travellers / Mini or big coaches depending on the respective tour group size. The seating arrangement in the coach is based on booking priority. Seat numbers 1 & 2 are reserved for Tour Managers and Tour Guides. Seat numbers 3 & 4 are reserved as Prime Seats which can be availed by paying an additional cost. If you wish to utilise the vehicle solely for yourself or your family or you would like to upgrade the vehicle, we can arrange the same at an additional cost subject to availability.

Sightseeing attraction: Given the current dynamic situation, some monuments or sightseeing places may be closed temporarily without any prior notice. Sometimes due to rush or changes in the reservation system, entrance to the sightseeing attractions may be unavailable; in such cases, every attempt will be made to visit an alternate sightseeing place if possible or refund of the entry fee will be given.

Hotels: The category of hotels on international tours is a mix of three-star, three-star superior, and basic four-star. Kindly check your respective hotels before booking your tour. 

Room Sharing: Sometimes, two single unfamiliar travellers (gender – alike) share a room, should read the instruction paper along with the terms & conditions and abide by the same.

Tour Exclusions :

  • To and fro economy class air travel for ‘Mumbai to Mumbai Tour’ guests as mentioned in the itinerary 
  • Airfare and Airport taxes
  • Baggage Allowance as per the airline policy
  • Tour Manager Services throughout the tour
  • Any Restaurants or personal activity
  • Cost of internal airfare as mentioned in the itinerary
  • Govt Tax of 5% over and above the Tour Cost mentioned
  • Tax collected at source (TCS) applicable at 5% on tour price if PAN & Aadhar is provided else it will be 10% of tour price
  • Currently, Thailand VISA is on arrival and free of cost (FOC) to Indian tourists. Hence Thailand Visa fee‘ is not included in tour price for tours up to 11th Nov 2024
  • Any increase in Airfare, Airport taxes, Govt Taxes, Fuel Surcharges and any applicability of new taxes from Govt
  • Any up gradation in Airline class or hotel room category
  • Cost of Air ticket deviation charges
  • Any Increase in the rate of exchange leading to an increase in all land arrangements which may come into effect prior to departure
  • Cost of pre or post tour hotel accommodation
  • Any extra expense such as route change, Airline change, Date change, Accommodation facilities, etc incurred due to the unforeseen, unavoidable forced majeuere circumstances during the tour
  • Cost of insurance for 60 years and above
  • Porterage, laundry, telephone charges, shopping, wines & alcoholic beverages, items of personal nature and food or drink which is not part of a set group menu
  • Any extra cost incurred on behalf of an individual due to illness, accident, hospitalisation, or any personal emergency
  • Any services or activity charges other than those included in the group tour itinerary
  • To and fro Air fare, Airport transfers, visa fees to join/leave the group for joining and leaving guests
  • Anything specifically not mentioned in the ‘tour price includes’ column

Payment Terms

Guest can pay by Cheque/ Demand Draft/ Debit card / Credit card/ NEFT/ RTGS/ IMPS. For Debit / Credit card payment additional 1.8 % convenience charge will be applicable Cheque / Demand draft should be in favour of "Traveller Birds Tours and Travels"

Remarks

  • Select your tour, read and understand the Tour Itinerary, Inclusions and Exclusions, Joining-Leaving Places, Tour Price, Payment Schedules, terms and conditions…etc. Once you get convinced about everything then only book a tour.
  • As per the immigration authority of Thailand, it is mandatory to carry adequate finances equivalent to 10,000 Baht per person or 20,000 Baht per family in the form of cash/credit card, as a security amount.
  • Thailand visa can be done in India or On-Arrival at Thailand.
  • In case, a particular sightseeing cannot be covered or visited on the Tour, owing to any kind of unavoidable political, environmental or social circumstances, then it will be replaced with other best possible alternative sightseeing.
  • Under unavoidable circumstances itineraries may be changed or reversed, however all inclusions in the itinerary will remain same.
  • Standard Check-in and check-out time of International hotels is usually 1500hrs and 1200hrs respectively.
  • Guests may please note that for Domestic flights or internal flights from one city to another city on international tours, the baggage allowance will be as per the respective airline baggage policy and weight regulations. Guests are requested to pack their belongings and carry luggage in accordance to the respective airlines baggage allowance. Excess baggage (if any) will be chargeable as per the airline policy and the same has to be borne by the guest.
  • Sometimes, when you check into a hotel, you may have to pay a deposit amount of approximately 3,000 to 4,000 due to hotel policies. This amount is refunded at the time of checkout. So, it’s better to carry some extra Thai Baht with you.
  • Any extra transfers required during the tour will be charged extra. Anything that is explicitly not mentioned in the inclusions and optional as suggested in the itinerary, are not a part of this package. Images shown about the place, city, hotel, attractions, etc. are for illustration purpose only and may not be the same as linked to the itinerary or services provided.
  • Cost and consequences arising due to any force majeure situations including but not limited to unforeseen circumstances like; natural calamities, political disturbances, health issues, flight delays / cancellations, things beyond our control, etc. will have to be borne by the guest.
  • Airport transfers and coach tours are based on all guest traveling together in same flight, any additional transfers will not be provided if guest travel on different airlines.
  • There will be additional charges for the passengers would like to stay back at the destination or transit.
  • If you are carrying gifts, brochures, standees, placards, t-shirts, stationery, backdrops, laptops, projector, snacks or any such items for distribution purpose, then it is sole discretion of customs authority or regulations. Duties or gratuities, if any will be payable by the guest/corporate only.
  • Allowing excess luggage is subject to the airline approval, if any such charges will be payable by guest/corporates only.
  • Any changes in itinerary or upgrade in hotels will be charged extra, over and above the given cost (Which will be informed to the customer in advance for final Acceptance and Payment).

Advance Preparation

  • As everyone is becoming a frequent traveller now, we suggest that you make your own travel accessories kit to ensure a stress-free holiday.
  • Always make sure to carry less and light luggage, use a four-wheel small or medium suitcase and please make sure that you are carrying only one suitcase per person. This will ensure that you will travel smartly and without any inconveniences.
  • It is also recommended that you have one cross shoulder bag or haversack for your handy needs which will ensure that you are comfortable at the time of sightseeing and also easy for photography during your tour.
  • A smart cap/hat and sunglasses are definitely something that you should have in your kit.
  • Though Veena World provides all three meals, that is breakfast, lunch, dinner and Veena World treats as per the itinerary, you can carry dry snacks of your choice in small sealed packets for munching during air travel or road journeys.
  • If you are travelling during the monsoon or to destinations where it is rainy, please carry a small umbrella or poncho.
  • For international tours, please carry a universal adapter for charging your cameras and mobile phones.
  • Ensure that your clothing and footwear is suitable for the destination you are travelling to.
  • Under any circumstances, if you arrange a car or taxi on your own for pickup and drop, then you will have to bear those expenses

Need to Know

Things to consider before the trip!

1. Visa & Entry Requirements

  • Many nationalities can enter Thailand visa-free for 14-45 days under the Visa Exemption scheme.
  • Tourist visas allow stays of up to 60 days, extendable for 30 more days.
  • A valid passport with at least six months of validity is required.
  • Proof of onward travel may be required for visa-free entry.
  • Original passport with a minimum of 6 months’ validity from the date of tour arrival along with sufficient blank pages for the stamping of visa.

2. COVID-19 & Health Requirements (If applicable)

  • Check for any vaccination or health screening requirements.
  • Travel insurance covering medical expenses is recommended.

3. Customs Regulations

  • Duty-free allowances apply to alcohol, tobacco, and personal goods.
  • Certain items, such as e-cigarettes and drugs, are strictly prohibited.

4. Tourist Conduct & Legal Compliance

  • Respect local customs, religious sites, and dress codes.
  • Avoid illegal activities such as drug use or overstaying visas.
  • Follow traffic rules if renting vehicles.

5. Accommodation & Bookings

  • Hotels may require a passport copy and security deposit.
  • Cancellation policies vary based on the provider.

6. Travel Insurance

  • Strongly recommended for medical emergencies, theft, or trip cancellations.

Important Notes for a Thailand Tour

1) Currency & Payments

  • The currency is Thai Baht (THB) – carry cash for small purchases.
  • Credit cards are widely accepted, but some places prefer cash.
  • ATMs are available but may charge withdrawal fees.

2) Weather & Best Time to Visit

  • Cool Season (Nov–Feb): Best time to visit (pleasant weather).
  • Hot Season (Mar–May): High temperatures, great for beaches.
  • Rainy Season (Jun–Oct): Heavy rain but fewer crowds.

3) Local Transportation

  • Tuk-tuks, taxis, and motorbike taxis are common but negotiate fares beforehand.
  • Use ride-hailing apps like Grab to avoid scams.
  • Public transport (BTS Skytrain & MRT) is efficient in Bangkok.

4) Cultural Etiquette & Laws

  • Dress modestly when visiting temples (cover shoulders and knees).
  • The Royal Family is highly respected – avoid negative comments.
  • Never touch someone’s head or point feet at people/statues.
  • Remove shoes before entering homes and temples.

5) Food & Drinks

  • Street food is delicious but ensure hygiene standards.
  • Avoid tap water; drink bottled or filtered water.
  • Spicy food is common – ask for “mai phet” (less spicy) if needed.

6) Safety & Scams

  • Beware of common scams (overpriced tuk-tuks, gem scams, fake travel agencies).
  • Keep an eye on your belongings in crowded areas.
  • Emergency number: Tourist Police 1155.

7) Health & Travel Insurance

  • Travel insurance is recommended for medical emergencies.
  • Mosquito-borne diseases exist – use insect repellent.
  •  Pharmacies are widely available for basic medicines.

8) Connectivity & SIM Cards

  • Buy a local SIM card (AIS, DTAC, or TrueMove) for internet access.
  • Free Wi-Fi is available in hotels and cafes.
