Job Description

M&B Contract Specialties in Owing Mills, MD is looking for a Full-time Estimator who will prepare and coordinate all work associated with creating estimates at all levels from schematics, design development and construction document estimates including soliciting subcontractors bid, evaluating scopes of work, preparing quantity take-offs and reviewing project plans and specifications. Projects include installation of window coverings, cubicle curtains & projection screens.

• Reviews construction documents and understands the scope of work to bid.
• Executes take-offs of construction documents.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors on estimates.
• Consult with industry experts to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
• Use computer software to calculate estimates.
• Develops and maintains resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.
• Recommend ways to make a product more cost effective or profitable.
• Attend pre-bid and sales meetings as required.
• Work with owner to prepare estimates and bids for clients.

Qualifications:

• Detailed oriented.
• Be able to read architectural drawings.
• Window Treatment experience.

Salary based on experience.
