InfraHire is looking for an Lead Carpenter in Frederick, MD.

Job Description:

We're looking for a hands-on Lead Carpenter to guide field work, keep projects moving, and set the standard for craftsmanship on every job. You'll take ownership of daily site execution, solve problems as they come up, and help develop less-experienced carpenters through coaching and example.

Responsibilities:

• Direct day-to-day carpentry operations on assigned projects, coordinating crew activities and keeping work on schedule.

• Complete skilled carpentry work such as framing and finish tasks, door installation, formwork, and repair/restoration work as needed.

• Read plans and job details to lay out accurate cuts, measurements, and installations.

• Ensure finished work meets quality expectations and is properly aligned, level, and true.

• Use and maintain tools and equipment safely, promoting a clean and organized jobsite.

• Coordinate with other trades (including electrical and mechanical) to prevent conflicts and maintain workflow.

• Help estimate material quantities and labor needs and communicate requirements to the project team.

• Train and support junior carpenters by demonstrating best practices and providing constructive feedback.

Qualifications:

• Strong carpentry background with verifiable project experience.

• Ability to work independently and lead a crew with minimal supervision.

• Solid plan-reading skills (blueprints, drawings, specs).

• Comfort in restoration environments is a plus.

• Familiarity with construction estimating and material takeoffs.

• Safe, confident operation of common jobsite power tools (and a safety-first mindset).

• CNC exposure is a plus, but not required.

• Clear communicator who works well with a team and takes pride in quality work.
