Maintenance Technician - P/T

We have an immediate need for 2 part-time Maintenance Technicians to join our team at Clifton Fine Hospital. We are a Rural Emergency Hospital located in the Adirondack Mountains that provides critical care to our community. The hours for this position will be 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm with rotating weekend coverage and on-call coverage. Pay range is $18.00 to $23.00 based on experience.

Maintenance + Technical Duties

• Completes maintenance work orders as assigned

• Performs necessary maintenance relating to both the exterior and interiors of all buildings

• Maintains inventory of equipment, tools, supplies, and work materials

• Maintains a working knowledge of all utility sources and supply lines

• General maintenance experience includes painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mowing, plowing, etc.

• Performs all phases of snow removal from all needed areas and maintains all appropriate equipment

• Paints, cleans, completes maintenance items, and all other items required for the completion of the unit under renovation

• Cleans all common areas and is responsible for trash removal if EVS needs covering.

Planning + Oversight + Communication

• Assesses and prioritizes all work to be performed
• Completes daily work schedules for routine maintenance duties
• Notifies Maintenance Supervisor and Safety Supervisor of all problems and potential issues of concern
• Ensures quality of work duties performed
• Handles emergencies that may arise, and communicates all details of the incident to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Special projects and other responsibilities may be determined

Interpersonal + Safety Responsibilities

• Will be available for on-call as necessary
• Maintains a professional and courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees
• Actively participates and follows the safety and health programs
